I’ve ran all sorts of degreasers/parts washer fluids in my parts washer previously but this stuff absolutely destroys carbon build up! I went this direction as I suffer nasty dermatitis from chemicals.
Even though it was designed specifically for @crcindustriesau Smart Washer system with built in heater and the ozzymat system filter that has some kind of microbe sea monkey business going on, it works a treat even in my dirty old parts washer.
That cam gear and oil pickup in the second pic was caked with more carbon build up than the main cap… highly, highly recommend

Turns out the 3.5 in the RR was in pretty bad shape… found a 3.9 EFI long motor for $300 that’s turned out to be a good candidate for a freshen up (standard mains, standard big ends, .020 over pistons) also found a cheap pair of HRC2479 heads off of a 4.2/4.6 for the top end and a pair of SU’s to top it all off… should make for a nice little combo whilst still maintaining a somewhat standard look.
So much for a quick build though

This one’s a personal and quick project… I needed something to tow and pickup firewood in… time to make chicken soup out of chicken 💩
As most of you have probably figured out already, Garagista has come to an end.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has spent a cent with me over the 8 years of business. You have all helped play a part in keeping my little family going, and for that I am truly grateful.
Nobody starts a business without a dream, and it can be a hard reality to face when years down the track that dream seems to have faded away…
Closing has genuinely been one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, putting the needs of my growing family well and above any personal ambitions or once held dreams.
I will still be taking on the odd job here and there… but it’s certainly a part time gig now rather than our sole income.
From my family to yours, I wish you all a happy new year and all the best for 2024 and ahead.

The Achilles heel of most classic cars… electrical gremlins… if you’ve got persistent electrical gremlins, check your wiring harness to be sure you’re not about to have a thermal incident 🔥
